Should have taken my time!

“This one goes out to the one I love…to the one(s) I left behind,” R.E.M.

Been having a problem with my left knee for the past couple weeks, shouldn’t be running at all as it gave out on me twice already, once while racing to catch the bus at a busy intersection and I was lucky I caught myself before falling. Wasn’t so fortunate today!  I took the bus, which I don’t often do on the short route home but I’d walked enough and  was talking to a woman who lives in my building. Tired and chilly for some reason lately, I almost skipped the light on the red across to get home that split second faster, had she not reached out to caution me. Then on the green I sprinted and my knee collapsed. I crashed face forward onto the concrete road right in front of a car, my change flew everywhere.  It took me at least 30 seconds to get back up it was such a shock and hurt so bad. Both knees and hands are bleeding and my hip is twisted.

I’ll feel it later for sure, but right now the agony is focused on my right arm (right handed i am) and I think I may have sprained my wrist or my elbow or both. Not into  pain pills, but I calmed myself, got out the ice pack and popped two extra strength Tylenol. Then I rolled a joint, which was hard to do and had trouble flicking my Bic to light it. A neighbor sold me a beer at a five dollar fee, nothing for free in TCHC:), the last of my money today too, and the can was hard to open.  It’s even difficult to turn the key in my door lock. On top of that, my phone’s off, cause I am on disability and my check is not in till Tuesday and the monthly rate shuts me down on the 28th, so have to suffer alone without complaining aloud to the few that might care. Listening to FM q107 Rocks! Could be worse (update: maybe not much). But if you don’t hear from me for a few days you will know why, because I might not be able to type and if this is post is long and boring and filled with mistakes, “that Sucks,” as Keeba would say.
